Actually, it was partially OWNED by Gillette, not the UK/Europe name for them. And Gillette only owned part of them from 1989 to 1992.

Today, Wilkinson Sword is the European name for Schick, part of Edgewell Personal Care, along with Schick, originally part of Energizer Holdings.

I’m afraid not.

Wilkinson Sword is owned by Edgwell Personal Care while Gillete is owned by Gillette Global.

Gillette is a major player in razor blades, etc...

While Wilkinson Sword is generally regarded as a smaller player and has less of the market.

At least here in the U.K.

There are brands that come together in some markets around the globe but in the U.K. In this case they are two very different companies.

Sure, electric razors are great and all, but there’s times you just can’t beat an actual blade...

Around here (Midwestern US), those Wilkinson Sword packs would say Schick. Only difference is the name/logo. Everything else is the same.

I’ve never used an electric razor that gave a satisfactory shave. Maybe that’s my fault for being cheap though.

I just find that there’s areas it doesn’t get very well, that every so often need a touchup job.

That said I’m cheap too... could be it
